How much does fencing really cost? And what you’re paying for.
One of the most common questions we get is: “How much does fencing cost?” We would love to be able to give quick, fixed numbers but the truth is – it depends!
Fencing isn’t a one-size-fits-all product. Every property and project is different. At Bullock Creek Contracting, we aim to bring transparency to every quote so you understand where your money is going and why investing in quality fences pays off in the long run.
Factors that Influence Fencing Costs
· Materials – Plain wire, mesh, timber posts, steel posts – all vary in price
· Access and Terrain – Flat and open or rocky and steep? Difficult terrain means more labour and machine time.
· Labour and Machinery – Skilled work, time, and equipment like skid steers, post rammers and trucks all contribute to the final cost.
Let’s Talk $$$…
Typical stock fencing with a prefabricated wire like “ring-lock” MIGHT start from $10.50 per metre including materials and labour. End assemblies (where fences start, stop, or change direction) are an additional cost. Exclusion fencing or heavy-duty fencing costs more due to higher material cost and more intensive labour.
Your fence is an investment in your property. This is why it’s important to keep in mind the quality of materials and workmanship. Cheap fencing often leads to costly repairs or replacements sooner, whereas well-installed fences with quality materials save money over 10-20+ years!
When you choose to work with us, you’re paying for quality materials, expertise, planning, speed, reliable and honest communication, and long-term durability.
